DMCA Notice FAQ

One way that BayTSP would like to help is by using the Extensible Markup Language or XML in our notices of copyright infringement.

Would you like to reduce the time it takes to process notices from BayTSP?

BayTSP can help you become more efficient is to have your system recognize the Extensible Markup Language or XML in our notices of copyright infringement. By using this easy to use data exchange program, BayTSP allows its partners to take advantage of XML to sort their data in a clearly defined way. You can find out more about XML in our notices by going to the Notice FAQ’s page

(Link).

XML also has many other benefits due to its versatility. Unlike previous data exchange programs such as Electronic Data Interchange, XML is a very flexible program that allows users to:

  • Make communication and transactions between businesses very easy
  • Define many other languages in XML
  • Define the data of our notices and create data platforms
  • Make the data structures platform independently
  • Process all XML data automatically
  • Define your own tags

In addition to the use of XML to help automate receipt of our notices, there are other ways that BayTSP can help with the sorting process. All of our notices are stamped with a unique ID number which can be found in the beginning of our notice or is included in the evidentiary information. This identifies both the client on whose behalf the notices are sent and the infringement itself. We also provide Evidentiary Information which details all of the vital information in regards to the specific notice including notice id number, file name, file size, GMT timestamp, and IP address.

If you are interested in receiving our notices using XML please see our Partner Resources Page.
